When Queen Esther (Dickens) Burkett was born on September 30, 1872, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, her father, Andrew, was 34, and her mother, Sarah, was 33. She married John Matthew Burkett on October 25, 1891, in Faulkner Township, Arkansas. They had 12 children in 17 years. She died on August 6, 1941, in her hometown at the age of 64, and was buried there.
