Jerry Wayne Jones of Melbourne, AR, son of the late Billy Jack Jones and Dorothy Hellums Jones of Melbourne, AR was born in Oklahoma City, OK. He died in Melbourne, AR at the age of 51. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. During his working years he was employed as a store inspector for Radio Shack. He also worked as a mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the South Side Baptist Church in Altus, OK. He is survived by: two sons, Scottie Wayne Jones and Brandon Cooper Jones; his mother Dorothy Jones; two sisters, Kath (Eldon) Beck and Karen (Bill)Lynch; three grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services were held at the Howard Memorial Chapel with Steve Stevenson officiating. Burial followed at New Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne, AR.
