James E. Jones, 89, of Batesville died Thursday, December 20, 2018. He was born January 21, 1929 in Randolph County, Arkansas to Sam and Zadie Jones. He was a retired factory worker, a U.S. Army Veteran, and had attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eula Faye Jones; three brothers, Manuel L. Jones, Granville L. Jones, and Jake H. Jones; and grandson, Adam Jones.

Survivors include son, Jimmy Jones (Karen) of Loves Park, Illinois; two brothers, Junior Jones and Norman Jones both of Rockford, Illinois; and two grandchildren, David Jones and Sara Jones both of Loves Park, Illinois.

Funeral services held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel.

Eula Faye Twilley Jones, 77, of Batesville died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, in a Batesville hospital.

Born July 31, 1929, at Gid, she was the daughter of Ewing Eldrid and Mary Warnett Twilley. She was a homemaker and was of the Free will Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Jones; a son, Jimmy Jones of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, E.L. Twilley of California; two sisters, Zadie Tate of Melbourne and Estelle Lane of Batesville; two grandchildren, David Jones and Sarah Ann Jones, both of Rockford; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Virgil Twilley, Alfred Twilley and an infant brother; and three sisters, Elsie Coleman, Frankie Lane and Clara Tate.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bobby Shepherd and Hoover Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery near Guion.
