Claude W. Jones Dies at Searcy
Claude W. Jones, aged 40, for many years a resident of this section and a native of this county, died Tuesday morning at the home of a sister-in-law, Mrs. Annie Blankenship at Searcy.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. Y. D. Whitehurst of Melbourne and Rev. Ralph Hillis of Searcy, were held at Pleasant Grove Church, near Wideman, Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kate Hays Jones; his step-mother, Mrs. Basil Jones of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Charlie and Floyd Jones of Granite, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Jones of Missouri and Mrs. Fannie Christensen of Oklahoma City, and five half-brothers.
