STROUD, Vinnie Lorene COX - Mrs. Vinnie Lorene Stroud, wife of Wilson Stroud, died at an early hour Saturday morning at the home of J.W. Stroud on North B Street. Death was the result of tubercular trouble and she had suffered with that disease for some time. Funeral services were held at the Stroud residence Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock and were conducted by Rev. Dillon of the Christian church. Interment was in the city cemetery. Vinnie Lorene Cox was born November 18, 1890 at Rector, Ark. She had lived in Rector until her marriage September 2, 1910 to Wilson N. Stroud, who was at that time working in St. Louis. Last spring they returned to Rogers and until about a month or two ago had been living on the farm of Mr. Stroud's father, J.W. Stroud, on Pea Ridge. Mrs. Stroud had been ill some six months and her trouble developed into quick consumption. Mrs. Stroud had visited here a year previous to her marriage with her cousin, Miss Verna Cox, and had a circle of acquaintances among our young people with whom she was quite popular. She was a member of the Christian church and had been for a number of years. Her untimely death is a great grief to the relatives and friends and she leaves two sisters and a brother in addition to her mother and husband and they have the sympathy of the entire community.
