Rogers, June 6 - (Special) - Funeral service for George Stroud lifelong resident of Cave Springs, was held Tuesday at the Callison-McKinney Funeral home in Bentonville. Burial was in the Bentonville cemetery.

Mr. Stroud, member of a widely known family, died Saturday at Bates Memorial Hospital in Bentonville. He had been engaged in farming at Cave Springs.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Fred Coberly and Mrs. Gene Mishler, Cave Springs; two sons, G. A. Stroud, Long Beach, Calif., and Henry Stroud, with whom he made his home it Cave Springs; and a brother, H. L. Stroud, Montebello, Calif.

STROUD, Ella ATKINSON - Mrs. Ella Atkinson Stroud, wife of George Stroud, died at the family home in Cave Springs Friday night, March 18, 1927 following an illness of nearly twelve months. She was about 52 years of age. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church in Cave Springs Saturday afternoon and the remains were taken to Bentonville and laid to rest in the City cemetery. Ella Atkinson was born on Spring Creek, Benton county in 1875 and her entire life was spent in this section of the county. She was married to George Stroud in 1893 who survives her. She also leaves six children: Arland, Willie, Wesley and Henry Stroud, Mrs. Louise Coberly and Mrs. Thelma Michlen, all who reside at Cave.

*Note: Daughters names are Lucille Coberly and Thelma Mishler.
