SPRINGDALE — Velma Theoda White, 90, of Springdale died March 20, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale. She was born March 9, 1914, at Glade to George Segal and Edna Bell Phillips Hyden. She lived in the Garfield area most of her life, before moving to Springdale in 1985. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She attended Gospel of Peace Tabernacle in Springdale. She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne White.

Survivors include her husband, Everett White of the home; three daughters, Wanda Griffith and husband Sylvan of Maryland Heights, Mo., Wyvona Thornton and husband Dudley of Woodson Terrace, Mo., Lela Noelke and husband Ronald of Overland, Mo.; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gospel of Peace Tabernacle with the Rev. Ray Main officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery in Garfield.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
