CARDWELL, Hosea - Uncle Hosea Cardwell, one of our oldest and best known citizens, died Friday morning at the residence of C.M. Oliver in this city. He had been suffering with Carbuncle for several weeks which proved too much for his constitution, strong as it was. He was truly an "old land mark" and his passing away leaves one less of the very few surviving pioneers of Washington county. He was 76 years and leaves an aged wife, several children and a host of friends.
