Dec 25 1908 - Mar 2 1922
Son of CH & Claud Mayfield
*Obituary
Rogers Democrat
March 9, 1922
Paul Liner Mayfield was born Dec. 25, 1908. He died March 2, 1922 after a sudden attack of pneumonia. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Mayfield. You will see by the above dates that the earthly life of Paul was rather brief. but although his life was cut short by his untimely death, his was a life that was filled with goodness and virtue. It was a sad death and a sad funeral. As the burial service was being conducted in the chapel at Buttram’s cemetery, not a dry eye could be found among those that had gathered to honor the boy who had been a blessing to them. The mother’s heart is breaking, the father’s grief is almost unbearable, the brother’s life is lonely and the entire neighborhood of friends and relatives is steeped in sorrow. It seems that a great black cloud has settled over the community in which Paul lived.
