(February 19, 1930 - February 20, 2013)

Stanford Community- Julia V. Smith, 83 died Wednesday at her residence. She was born February 19, 1930 in Charlotte, Arkansas to Layman and Pearl Jones Herring and had lived in Lawrence County most of her life. She had worked at Lawrence Manufacturing and was a member of the Sidney Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Smith; sister, Sue Hill; son-in-law, Larry Sisk and grandson, William Nathan Henson.

She is survived by daughters, Kaye Sisk of Walnut Ridge and Lesa Gramling of Stanford; sons, William "Bill" Lawson of Sidney, Terry Lawson of Lynn, Gary Lawson of Eaton, Sandy Smith of Cave City and Todd Lawson of Batesville; sisters, Jan Dujardin of Maryland and Phyllis Brady of Springdale; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. Burial will follow in Old Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday 6 – 8 at House-Gregg Funeral Home.
