*Obituary - Calhoun Herald, Hampton, Arkansas - May 3, 1962
Mrs. Sallie Talbot Blann, aged 84, of Jerome, Drew County, widow of A. L. Blann, died on Tuesday, May 1, 1962 at a Dermott hospital. She was a native of Calhoun County and a Baptist. She moved to Montrose (Ashley County) in 1928. Survivors include three sons: Rev. Robert F. Blann, Camden; William Thomas Blann, Little Rock, and Troy Blann, Houston, Tx.; five daughters, Mrs. L. B. Kitchens of Jerome; Mrs. J. A. McKoin, El Dorado; Mrs. T. E. Moore of Longview, Tx; Mrs. Eva Wright of Pasadena, Texas and Mrs. Charlie Sharpe, Houston; a brother, L. A. Talbot, Hampton; 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral was at Montrose Baptist Church and burial was at Friendship Cemetery in Calhoun County.
