Mrs. Lula Alice (Byrd) Blann, 85, of Camden, Arkansas had her heavenly reunion on Wednesday, May the 1st, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a nurse for many years. She also had a very special relationship with each one of her siblings. In her retirement years she enjoyed her flowers, playing cards with anyone who would play, and sharing stories of the crooked pinky finger she so proudly passed on to everyone. She was a very special women to a lot of people.
Mrs. Alice Blann was born on December the 9th, 1933, to her parents Rembert and Blanche (Hawkins) Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husbands Earl “Buddy” Byrd, and Ralph Blann, a son Steve Byrd, a Son-in-law Thomas Pratt, a grandson Dennie Evans, a great grandson Trevor Byrd, and five sisters, Winnie Lou Jones, Jessie Ruth Moore, Velma Clodfelter, and Glennis and Gladys Bailey.
She is survived by her three brothers Thomas, David, and Charles Bailey, Four daughters Holly (Larry) Evans of Junction City, LA, Sandra (Levi) Gray of Hamburg, AR, Mary (Tom) Hill of Camden, AR, and Frances Pratt of Montana, Twelve grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren, as well a host of other family and friends she loved dearly including a special cousin, Vivian Nance, and her little dog “boo”.
Funeral service will be 3:00PM Sunday, May 05, 2019 at Camden First Assembly of God Church, 1275 Maul Road, Camden, AR. Visitation will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Hampton.
