James J. Blann of Marshall, Tex., died Tuesday morning in a Tyler, Tex. hospital following a brief illness. Born Oct. 4, 1928, at Hampton, he was the son of Frank and Ollie Blann. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Marshall. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pamela Ann Neilson of Mountain Home, and Miss Elizabeth Kay Blann of Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. Ernest James of El Dorado, Mrs. Raymond Slocum of Little Rock, and Mrs. Ed Rose of Hawaii; three brothers, the Rev. Laron Blann of El Dorado, Wayne Blann of Hampton, and Earl Blann of New Orleans, La. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Happy Home Assembly of God Church near Hampton. Burial will be in Pickett Cemetery under the direction of Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. (El Dorado Times - March 18, 1970)
