Son of Hiram B & Matilda Simpson Carter Born in Conecuh County, Alabama. He married Hannah Smith, of Pike County Alabama. They had several children: William, Mary Jane, Amanda, John, Elias, Seaborn, Margaret, Martha "Mattie", Galvesta, and Sarena. Seborn and Hannah eventually migrated to Arkansas and made their home in Sebastian County where they acquired land.
