Donald Eugene Carter, Jr., 60, of Fort Smith, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in a local hospital.
He was born April 22, 1954 in Fort Smith, AR to Donald Carter Sr. and the late Billye Jo Turner Carter.

He was a retired respiratory therapist and member of King Solomon Baptist Church.

Funeral will be held Saturday, September 6th,11:00 a.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Washington Cemetery under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Jackson, Gary Hall, Anthony Jackson, Danny Arnold, Ray Hayward, and Almon Page.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela Warr of Little Rock and Shirlandria Enoch of Fayetteville; a son, Donald III of Fort Smith; his father, Donald Sr. of Fort Smith; two sisters, Starla Carter-Smith of Philadelphia and Akua Carter of Fort Smith; two brothers, Ronald Carter of Kansas City, MO and Anthony Carter of Fort Smith; 5 grandchildren.

Ayanna "Yannie" Janelle Carter, 34, of Fort Smith died Monday, April 8, 2013, in a local hospital.

She was a graduate of Northside High School, where she was a member of the band. She attended Westark Community College and was a member of King Solomon Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Washington Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Makhaela and Joa Carter, both of Fort Smith; her mother, Janice Jacobs-Johnson of Atlanta; her and father and stepmother, Shirley and Donald Carter Jr. of Fort Smith; two sisters, Angela Warr of Little Rock and Shirlandria Enoch of Fayetteville; a brother, Donald Carter III of Little Rock; and her grandparents, Donald Carter Sr. and Joyce Jacobs, both of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Paul Toran Sr., Donald Toran Sr., Anthony Jackson Sr., Danny and Eddie Arnold and David Harris.
