"Uncle Billy" Marrs Passes On

W. T. Marrs, 81, years old, a long- time resident of Benton county, died at the home of a son, Leo Marrs, in Taneyville, Mo., Friday. He was ill for a short time with the flu which was followed by pneumonia which caused his death. Funeral service was held at the Baptist church in Springtown Monday afternoon and burial was in the Springtown cemetery.

Known to everyone as "Uncle Billy" Marrs, he made his home at Springtown for many years. He was a retired veterinarian. His wife died there last year and Mr. Marrs sold his farm and in recent months made his home with a son, George, at Sand Springs, Okla. He is survived by three other sons, Leo of near Taneyville, Mo.; Dan at Inglewood, Calif., and Bert at Bramley, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. C.S. Barton of Gentry.
