Dan Marrs, 81 year old resident of Forrest City, Ark., former resident of Springtown, Ark., died in Forrest City, Saturday, April 28, following an extended illness. Born March 7, 1898, in Springtown, Ark., he moved to Forrest City in 1973. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Dan D. Marrs of Colt, Ark.; two step-sons, Lavern Kickerson of New Hall, Calif., and Marty Kickerson of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Smith of Casa Mesa, Calif., and Mrs. Patty Mahan of Barstow, Calif.; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Graveside rites for Mr. Marrs were held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, in the Springtown Cemetery with Mr. Jack Schaible officiating. Local arrangements were under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.
