{from Cloverdale} Agnes Rebecca Bryant was born June 17, 1898 in Rogers, Arkansas. She was united in marriage with William Haden Wood of Bristol, Tenn. June 20, 1917, making their home in the cities of Knoxville, Chattanooga and Johnson City, Tenn. Early in her girlhood she was united with the Methodist Episcopal church in Rogers. Later in life she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church. Her last illness was of long duration but became critical only a few weeks ago. She passed on at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Bryant, at noon September 13, 1932. There were no children born to this union. She leaves behind a husband, father, mother, brother and three sisters; along with a host of other relatives and friends who deeply mourn her loss. Unselfish and cheerful, always assisting in the task to be done, she moved forward with clear vision and a loving heart. Many fine qualities were her's but chief of all was her sweet sunny disposition that permeated her entire short life and cast its influence on all who knew and loved her. Her funeral service was held at the First Methodist church of Rogers. The splendid words, sweet songs and prayers delivered at this time were of much comfort to those who are left behind and would have pleased and satisfied her. Her burial place is in the Rogers cemetery.
