PEA RIDGE — Ora Adeline Wood, 94, of Pea Ridge, died May 31, 2010, at Bradford House in Bentonville. She was born July 31, 1915, near Seligman, Mo., to Ernest Webb
and Jennie Pearl Mitchell Webb.

At a young age, her family moved to the Webb family homestead northeast of Pea Ridge. She attended the University of Arkansas. She married Owen Wood in 1942 and lived northeast of Twelve Corners community for three years where she taught school in a one-room school house at Corinth. She and Owen then returned to the Webb farm where they spent the rest of their lives together. She was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge where she taught junior girls Sunday school class for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and life on the farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband of 52 years, Owen Wood.

She is survived by her son, Tim Wood and wife Sharon of Pea Ridge; her grandson, Robert Wood and wife Jenny of Pea Ridge; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Rachel and Nathan Wood of Pea Ridge; two brothers, Mitchell Webb of Pea Ridge and Olen Webb of Rogers; a sister, Mary Lou Rakes of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3 at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with Pastor Al Fowler and Pastor Rick Booyer officiating.

Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

No visitation.
