Gladys B. Carpenter, 87, of Bentonville, died Sunday, Sept. 2, at Bentonville Manor Nursing Home.
Born June 28, 1903, at Osage Mills to R. A. Sikes and Cora Wilson Sikes, she was a lifetime area resident. She was a housewife, and was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and a brother.
Survivors are a son, Robert "Bob" Sikes; four sisters, Mabel Rife, Lavon Henderson, and Louise George, all of Bentonville, and Evelyn Rife of Rogers; two grandchildren, Robert Sikes of DeQueen and Johnny Sikes of Bentonville; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville, with burial in Barron Cemetery at Vaughn. Visitation is to be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home.
