Clyde Carpenter, 75, long-time resident of Bentonville and Cave Springs, died March 20 at the home of a daughter in Bradenton, Fla.

He was born May 7, 1900, in Wichita, Kan., the son of John L. and Amanda M. Carpenter and was a Catholic. He operated a butcher shop in Bentonville many years with the late L.H. Gregg and the late Grady Kent, and worked for three years for the Lowell Meat Processing Co.

Survivors include a son, John H. Carpenter, Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Weddle, Bradenton, Fla., and Mrs. Mary Williams, Amarillo, Tex.; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Rogers Cemetery with Rev. Vernon W. Becker officiating and burial under direction of Burns of Rogers.

A memorial has been established to the Alexander Graham Bell Assn. for the Deaf, 3417 Votla Place NW, Washington, D.C. 20007.

Mrs. Doris Dee Carpenter, 59, Morning Star community, died Nov. 8 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 18, 1915, in Herrington, Kan., she was the daughter of William and Armaninta Chalker Bragg and a member of Cave Springs Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Carpenter of the home; one son, John H. Carpenter, Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Weddle, Bradenton, Florida, and Mrs. Marilyn Williams, Amarillo, Tex.; one brother, Henry Bragg, Chillicothe, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Ella May Beckley, Fort Myers, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral. services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Cave Springs Church of Christ with Jack Hardcastle, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Rogers.
