Mrs. Belle Messick
Dies at Age of 76

Mrs. Belle M. Messick, 76, of Route 1, Mountain Home, died Sunday at a local hospital. A lifetime resident of Baxter County, she lived with her daughter Mrs. Clima Mooney, on State Highway 5 North.

Mrs. Messick is survived by (at this point, part of the obituary is missing, and where it picks up, her brothers were being listed.)
Howard Megee of Wichita, Kans., Henry Megee of LaPorte, Tex., and Jim Megee of Ada, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Franks of Ada and Mrs. Nellie Crownover of Gassville; nine grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

The daughter of Alexander B. (Ed) Megee and Margaret Victoria Gray Megee, Mrs. Messick was born Sept. 23, 1893, in Baxter County. She was a lifetime resident fo the county, and a member of the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church.

Rev. Otha McCracken and Rev. Randy Shipman officted at the funeral services on Tuesday at the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist church, and interment in the church cemetery was under the direction of the McClure Service.

Pallbearers were Guy Burke, Rex Reed, Gene Watson, Bobbie Cheek, Bobbie Reed and Harvey Smith. Honorary bearers were Dean Franks, Freddie Crownover, Dale Crownover, Darrell Crownover, Junior Crownover and Earl Franks.
