HAYS, Martha - [from Central) Died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Birks, of paralysis, Mrs. Martha Hays, aged 78 years, 11 months and 1 day. Aunt Martha, as she was better known in this community, was born in Tennessee in 1833 where she grew to womanhood. Moved to Benton county about 56 years ago and lived here ever since. She leaves three girls and three boys to mourn for her. Interment was at Buttram Chapel, Rev. Gilmore conducting the funeral services.
