Hubert P Casteel of Mt. Home died Saturday (April 26, 1997) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. He was 85.
Mr. Casteel was born June 21, 1911, at Cartney, a son of Elbert and Mary Casteel. He married Jessie E. bolding and worked as a river guide, cook and farmer. He was a lifelong resident of Mt. Home and was a member of the local Cattleman's Association.
He is survived by one son, Carrel Casteel and wife Maydean of Mt. Home; one daughter, Joy Petty of Mt. Home; four brothers, Jim, Everett, Edward and John Casteel, all of Mt. Home; and four sister, Velma Carter of Bull Shoals, Jewell Cox of Gassville, Cathy Hough of Shreveport, LA and Betty Nell Henderson of Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
A graveside service will be at 10AM today at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Ken Taglauer officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
