Daughter of William & Rebecca Alexander Acklin.
Married Alfred C. Lawson January 10, 1929, Norfork, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Services for Gracie S. Lawson of Mt. Home will be at 2PM Thursday at Galatia Church with the Rev. Vern Pickrell officiating. Mrs. Lawson died Tuesday (Nov 7, 1995) at Baxter county Regional Hospital. She was 84.
Visitation will be from 5-8PM today at Kirby Funeral Home. Burial will be at Galtaia Cemetery with L.J. Lawson, Joe Harris, Jeffery Scheidegger, Trever Tilley, Hank Tilley and Robert Lawson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Estes, Curtis Britt, Coy Barnes, Howard Wynn and Howard Figurski.
A lifteime area resident, Mrs. Lawson was born Aug 4, 1911, at Dora, MO, a daughter of the late William and Rebecca Alexander Acklin. She and Alfred C. Lawson were married Jan 10, 1929, at Norfork. She was Baptist.
She is survived by three sons, Troy Lawson, Kenneth Lawson and Lonnie Lawson, all of Mt. Home; five daughters, Virgie Mae Barnes and Nona Figurski, both of Mt. Home, Juanita Bish of Salesville, Nina Halverson of Gresham, OR and Anna Mae Brett of Calico Rock; a brother, Noble Acklin of Gassville; 25 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, a brother and three sisters.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral Directors.
