Richard L. "Sonny" Cunningham, 54, Kansas City, MO, passed away Mary 2, 1992. Funeral services will be 8PM Wednesday, March 6, at Shell Independence Avenue Chapel, where friends may call 6-8PM. Burial will be at 3PM Thursday at Galacia Cemetery, Calico Rock, AR.
SSGT Cunningham was born September 6, 1941, in Norfork, AR. He was the owner of Cunningham Contractors, Inc and was formerly an associate realtor for Lakeview Realtors, Sunrise Beach, MO. He was a Third Degree Mason. He was a US Navy veteran and a former member of the US Air Force Reserve 77th APS at Richard-Gebour AFB. He participated in Desert Shield/Storm. He was currently a member of the 88th APS at McGuire AFB, and participated in Operation Valiant Warrior. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Atkinson. Surviving are his wife, Nancy J. Cunningham, of the home; daughter, Stacey R. Stockham, North Kansas City, MO; mother and step father, Mildred and George W. Jordan, Sunrise Beach, MO; grandmother, Rhoda Woody, Alma, AR; sister, Loretta Short, Kansas City, KS; seven nieces and nephews; and 10 great nieces and great nephews.
