BARNES, J.W. - {from The Gravette News} J.W. Barnes came to Gravette Wednesday of last week in the usual good health and on his way home, near the Barnett place, it seems from the best information obtainable he was overcome by a stroke of paralysis and either fell out of his buggy or was overcome after getting out. Several hours later he was found in an unconscious condition with his team standing in the road. He was carried into Mr. Barnett's house and later removed to his home where he died Friday night, never having regained consciousness. The deceased came to this country about 15 years ago from north Missouri and was about 55 years of age. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his demise.
