BARNES, Elizabeth - Died, November 4th, 1912 at the home of her son-in-law, Harvey McCurdy, Elizabeth Barnes, in the 72nd year of her age. Deceased was born in Kentucky February 23rd, 1840. Came to Benton county, Arkansas more than forty years ago. From early womanhood she was an humble follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and was at the time of her death an acceptable member of the Presbyterian church. We thank God for the life of this aged christian mother and for its blessed influence upon the hearts and lives of her dear children and children's children and of all who were brought under its influence. The funeral service held at the home was attended by many of her old friends and acquaintances and the remains were laid to rest in the Oakes Cemetery by the side of the loved ones so recently gone before. May our gracious Heavenly Father comfort and support the sorrowing ones in their sudden and repeated bereavements. P. Carnahan.
