ROGERS-- Thora Glee Barnes, 77, of Rogers died April 1, 2000. She was born Nov. 1, 1912 in St. Joe to Robert L. and Mary Rebecca Bray Rogers. She moved to the area in 1972 from Claifornia. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was former co-owner of Battlefield Antiques and Crafts Store.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Barnes of the home; one son, Robert D. Barnes of Rogers; two daughters, Karen K. Leslie of Rogers and Judy Armenta Swartz of Auburn, Calif.; three brothers, Oris Rogers of Denton, Texas, Cecil Rogers of Lubbock, Texas, and Willie Rogers of Wynona, Okla.; two sisters, Ida Wilhite of Lompoc, Calif., and Blanche Corley of Lowell; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Rogers with the Rev. Robert Bennett officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
