Fletcher Hamilton Yancey, 79, passed away Sunday October 8, 1972, at Calico Rock Medical Center. He was a veteran of WWI, a member of the American Legion and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Franklin.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home at Oxford; two sons, Horace Yancey of Oxford and Clayton Yancey of Wenatchee, WA; three daughters, Mrs. Meda Mason, Mrs. Charicie Tussey and Mrs. Betty Billingsley, all of Wenatchee, WA; one brother, Morgan Yancey of Brockwell; seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday October 11, at Oxford Methodist Church with Rev. Remmel Rowden officiating. Burial was in the Owens Cemetery under the direction Carter Funeral Home of Salem.
Pallbearers were Earnest Pinkston, Clyde Stuart, Otis Yancey, Troy White, Nobel Rowden and Herbert Moss.
