Ezra Eunice Yancey son of Elbert E Yancey and Mary Catherine (Simmons) Yancey. Mary Leora (Reynolds) Yancey daughter of Ezekiel Oliver Reynolds and Alice (Wilkes) Reynolds. Ezra was born Oxford, Izard County and died in Salem, Fulton County, Arkansas.

Ezra Eunice Yancey, son of the late Elbert E. and Mary Catherine Simmons Yancey was born September 16, 1908 in Oxford. He died November 8, 1998 in Salem. He was 90.

Mr. Yancey was united in marriage to Mary Leora Reynolds July 27, 1928 in Brockwell. To this union four sons were born. He spent his life as a farmer, husband and father. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church of Oxford.

Survivors include three sons, Paul Dwain Yancey of Independence, Missouri, Billy Wayne Yancey and Ronnie Gene Yancey both of Brockwell; two sisters, Cornealus Shoemaker and Eva Estes both of Melbourne; one brother, Marvin Yancey of Yakima, Washington; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, one infant son, both parents, one brother, and one sister.

Funeral services were held November 11, 1998, at the Roman & Billy Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Eldon Hellums and Bill Jones officiating. Pallbearers were Wade Reynolds, Darrell Owens, Jerry Arnold, Jimmy Owens, Dempsey Wammack and Kay Cooper.

Interment was at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
