Robert D. Haney, 80, of Mt. Home died Saturday at Baxter General Hospital.
Mr. Haney was a native and lifetime resident of Baxter County. He was born at Cartney, March 27, 1902. He was a retired fishing guide. He married Elizabeth Helm May 30, 1928, at Burnt School House at Lone Rock. Mr. Haney was Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Henry Ray Haney of Flippin, Robert Glen Haney of Columbia, MO, and Orville L. Haney of Shawnee Mission, KS; three daughters, Alberta Sanders of Pineville, Anna Sue Friend of Bentonville and Linda Lou Kneuper of Midwest City, OK; 18 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Ann Barnett Haney; his wife; three brothers and three sisters.
Services were Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Manuel Macks officiating. Burial was in Norfork Cemetery with Lloyd Bolding, Allen Bolding, Noel Haney, Mike Sanders, Doyce Haney and Benny Haney servings as pallbearers. Roger Haney was an honorary pallbearer.
