Lewis Harley Davis, 88, loving husband, father, uncle and father-in-law passed away on January 26, 2012. He was born in New Hope, Arkansas on February 4, 1923 to Shirley Owen and Elsie (Strasner) Davis. Harley grew up in
El Dorado. After his graduation from El Dorado High School, class of 1941, Harley
briefly attended Louisiana Tech before enlisting in the US Navy. He flew medical transport planes in the Pacific theatre during World War II. His family has always been proud of his service to his country that he loved so much.

Upon his retirement from Amoco in Savannah, Georgia, Harley and his wife, Bettie, returned to live out their retirement in El Dorado. Harley was a life-long devoted Razorback fan and derived much pleasure in dressing in red on game days. He especially enjoyed the Hogs' 2012 football season.

Harley was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Bettie Jayne Donaldson Davis.

Left to cherish his memory are his older brother, Jeff Davis; children, Ann Davis, Scott Davis, Denise Davis Hudson, Donald Janni and their spouses; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews and dear friend Teresa Hamaker.

Visitation will begin Sunday, January 29, 2012 from noon until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery,El Dorado, AR.
