Lena Capps Stewart passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 in McCrory, Arkanas. She was born on August 11, 1924.
She worked many years as a Deputy Tax Collector for White County. She was a member of the Searcy Doll Collectors Club, where she served as secretary and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willard and Mae Capps, three brothers, 1 sister, and a loving husband of 64 years C.P. Stewart.
She is survived by a loving, devoted, daughter Debbie Wood (Michael) of Tupelo, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Lori Ray (Doyle) of Blytheville, Arkansas, David Wood (Debra) of Tupelo, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Page, Trace Wood, and Garrett Wood.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy. Services will be at 10 AM on January 5, 2011 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy. Interment will follow at Henderson Cemetery at Pangburn, Arkansas.
