ROGERS — Rufus "Jack" Stewart, age 84, a resident of Rogers, was born July 17, 1928, and passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Concordia Health and Rehab in Bella Vista.
Jack served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge. Jack was a member of the American Legion for over 60 years and a member of the National Chaplains Association.
Jack is survived by his wife and three children.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield, Ark., with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org, or the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, in honor of Jack Stewart.
