Mrs. Sarah L. Moore-Evans 77, of Magnolia, AR, passed away Wednesday, March 6th, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. Sarah was born February 6, 1942 to Edward Lewis and Julie Mae Coleman in Lake Village, AR.
Sarah was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Magnolia, AR. For many years, she worked as a surgical nurse, and became a Director in the Surgery Department.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents Edward Lewis and Julia Mae Coleman, along with one sister: Ethel Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband; John Evans of Magnolia, AR; one son; Bruce T. Moore (grandson Luke) of Little Rock, AR, one daughter; Barbara Ann Moore of Irving, TX, two step daughters; Nina De LaGarza and Angie (Robert) Smith, two step-sons; Ray (Yamel) Brodnax and Brian Evans , one sister; Gracie Lewis of Lake Village, AR, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to cherish her loving sweet memory.
A Celebration of Sarah's life will be held Friday, March 15th, 11:00 am at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR, with burial to follow at Lott Burgy Cemetery in El Dorado, AR, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC of Magnolia, AR.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 14th from 12-4:30pm at the funeral home.
