A. G. Wayne Evans, 43, of Calion, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Born at Calion June 15, 1925, he was the son of A. G. Boyd and Martha Dell Smith Evans. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Calion Baptist Church, a member of the Roy V. Kinard Post No. 10 of the American Legion, a member of the El Dorado Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sue Hudson Evans of Calion, his father of Calion and a son, Rickey Evans of Calion. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Calion Baptist Church with the Rev. M. R. Rainbolt officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by the Champagnolle Masonic Lodge No. 666 with funeral arrangements under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The family will be at the Rickey Evans residence at Calion. Pallbearers are Maxwell Nelson, Edward Goodwin, Bob Murphy, Donnie Murphy, George Blackman and Harold Oliver.
