Obituary for Mary Ann (Mollie) Dollar Allen
“Aunt” Mollie Allen, an elderly lady who had been ill for several years due to rheumatism, passed away at her home on August 2, just two days after her 76th birthday. She had lived here practically all her life and her friends were numbered by her acquaintances. She was a member of the Baptist church and had been for more than 40 years. Rev. Vick conducted her funeral at the residence late Thursday afternoon in the presence of a large group of relatives and friends. She leaves two children, Otho Allen of Shirley and Mrs. Ora Williams of this place and several grand children. Her body was laid to rest beside that of her husband, who passed away several years ago.
