Some facts do not match the obit such as "J.P." and the number of children; noted some children died before the obit was written. I am almost certain this is the right headstone and other information added. So lucky to find so much.

Bald Knob, Jan. 26.- J.P. Allen, 88, died at his home at Velvet Ridge Saturday and was buried in the Velvet Ridge cemetery Sunday. He is survived by his wife; two sons, James of Velvet Ridge and Robert of Roosevelt; two daughters, and a number of grandchildren. He was a member of the Christian church. The Rev. Mr. Osborne conducted the funeral .

When Ipacratis Iphicrates Pierce Allen and his twin sister Iphigenia were born on January 1, 1850, in Waterford, Ohio, their father, Luther, was 42, and their mother, Ellen, was 36. He married Mary Catherine Murrain on December 11, 1880, in Trenton, Missouri. They had seven children in 22 years. He died on January 22, 1938, in Bald Knob, Arkansas, at the age of 88, and was buried in Velvet Ridge, Arkansas.
