Albert Doyle Allen, age 74, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 23, 2007, in Conway, Arkansas. Born in Ritz, Arkansas, on August 4, 1932, he was the son of the late Charlie Preston and Azie (Potts) Allen.

A resident of Quitman for 34 years, Mr. Allen worked for the Arkansas State Highway Department. His religious belief was Full Gospel. Mr. Allen was an excellent marksman, avid hunter, and camper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: J.D. Allen and Loyd Allen; and one sister: Marie Kirkland.

He is survived by his wife, Emmie E. Allen; his daughters, Kathleen Diles and husband, Carl, of Conway and Karen Webb and husband, Cleo Jr., of Mt. Vernon; his sons, Michael Allen and wife, Martha, of Mt. Vernon and Matthew Allen and wife Krystal, of Heber Springs; and his brother, O.T. Allen and wife, Sybil, of Mena. Mr. Allen is also survived by an abundance of grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, other relatives, and his many friends.

Services will be held Monday, February 26, at 2:00 p.m. at Olmstead Chapel with Bishop Carl Diles and Elder Kathleen Diles officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Bud Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Allen, Matthew Allen, Donnie Burleson, Cleo Webb, Jr., Jim Lafferty, and Donovan Pettingill. Arrangements by: Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
