NormanS tinnett, aged 40, of Chidester, was killed at about 11;30 Tuesday night when his car overturned on Highway 24 about 10 miles west of Camden, according to officers who investigated the accident. The accident was investigated by State Trooper Johnny Strickland and Deputy Sheriff Charlie Gillespie. Witnesses told them that Stinnett apparently lost control of his car, a 1963 Rambler, and it overturned crushing him underneath. Stinnett was alone in the car. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at Missouri Church with burial in the Missouri cemetery near Chidester by Forbis Funeral service. Rev. H. R. Nabors and Rev. W. R. Johnson of Chidester will officiate at the funeral. The body will be taken to the home at 5 p.m.. Survivors are his wife Mary Sue Stinnett, two sons Jimmy and Randy Stinnett, and one daughter Marilyn Stinnett, all of Chidester, four sisters, Mrs. Bobby Burton of East St. Louis, Ill., Mrs. Guy Kilpatrick of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Rufus Bussell of Camden, and Miss Rose Stinnett of Chidester ; two brothers A. L. Stinnett, Jr. of Chidester, and Richard Stinnett of Camden; grandfather Sam Thomas of Camden, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Stinnett of Chidester. (Camden News - April 3, 1963)
