William L. (Billy Bo) Stinnett of Chidester, went home to be with his Lord on August 24, 2017 at the age of 85. He was born on January 4, 1932.
He was retired from the Ouachita County Road Department at the age of 83. He was the former mayor and a current Alderman of Chidester. He was a member of Little Missouri Methodist Church. Everyone knew of his love for animals. He fed the deer year round with no hunting them allowed and had over 30 peacocks at his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henderson and Belton Stinnett; his first wife, Peggy L. Stinnett; a sister, Valree Kraft; two brothers, Franklin Stinnett and Johnson Stinnett, all of Chidester; and his brother in law, Johnny Sweatman of Schriever, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Leta Champlin Stinnett; three sons, Leslie Stinnett and wife Sandra of Hallsville, Texas; Billy Stinnett and wife Rita of Chidester; Paul Moore and wife Lou Ann of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; three stepdaughters, Sherri Lardizabal and husband Jeff of Columbus, Georgia; Janice Kraft and husband Nick of Hill City, South Dakota; Beverly Robertson and husband John of Camden; a sister, Judy Sweatman of Schriever, LA; a brother in law, John Kraft of Chidester, sister in law Donna Caldwell and husband Tuck of Wolf City, Texas; sister in law, Bonnie House and husband Ed of Camden, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden. Funeral services will be at 2pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Proctor Funeral Home with Brother Bill Ponder and Brother Lucian Lee officiating. There will be a Masonic Service and burial at the Little Missouri Cemetery in Chidester afterwards. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
