PEA RIDGE — Novella Gertrude Wright, age 87, of Pea Ridge, passed away May 25, 2010, at home, surrounded
by the love of her family. She was born June 11, 1922, in Bristow, Okla., to Walter and Sarah Stone.
She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Wright; brothers, Norman and Ronald Stone; sisters, Ocella Wright, Alma Loyd and Wanda Graves.
She is survived by her son, J.C. Wright and wife, Harriet, of Avoca; daughter, Donna Matlock and husband, Ed, of Rogers; brother, Melvin Stone, of Oroville, Calif.; sisters, Billie Anderson, of LaGrande, Ore., Betty Morden and husband, Dwayne, Saundra Lukins and husband, Don, of Bakersfield, Calif.; 12 grandchildren: 34 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
She was employed as a nurse at hospitals in California and locally. She worked at Wal-Mart for several years before retiring. She was an avid Braves baseball fan and loved to play Bingo.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
