WRIGHT, Edmund - Edmund Wright was born July 28, 1845 in Pulaski county, Kentucky. He died February 21st, 1927 at the home of his son, Philo A. Wright in Winona, Kansas, aged 81 years, 6 months and 27 days. He was married in November 1872 to Miss Therza Emiline Williams at Danville, Ky. In 1879 they moved to Holden, Mo. where they lived until 1886 when they moved to Benton county, to a farm near Mason Valley. In 1912 they moved to Centerton at which place they lived until failing health made it necessary for them to make their homes with their children. He is survived by his wife, who is now making her home with their daughter, Nora S. Wright, of Siloam Springs, and six sons: Lee of Lamy, New Mexico; Harry of Kinsley, Kansas; Edmund F. of Sublette, Kansas; Wm. Grover, Great Bend, Kansas; Milton E. of Centerton and Philo A. of Winona, Kansas. At the age of 19 Mr. Wright united with the Christian Church of which he continued a member until his death. He suffered much during the last few weeks of his life and prayed God daily to take him home and end his suffering. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. F.A. Bradshaw in the Hazel Valley Presbyterian church near the home in which he and his family had spent so many happy years; and his body was laid to rest in the Barron cemetery nearby to await the resurrection of the just made perfect.

WRIGHT, Therza Emeline - Mrs. Therza Emeline Wright, age 81 years, died at the home of her daughter, Miss Nora Wright, in Siloam Springs Thursday, January 10, 1929. Funeral services were conducted at Vaughn Sunday afternoon by Rev. F.A. Bradshaw. Burial was made in the Barron cemetery following the services. Mrs. Wright was born in Marion, Va. June 10, 1847. In 1871 she was married in Kentucky to Edmund Wright who preceded her in death by a few years. To this union there was born six sons, and one daughter, all of whom are living. They are: Lee, Lamy, New Mexico; H.C., Kinsley, Kansas; E.F., Garden City, Kansas; W.G., Great Bend, Kansas; P.A., Culver, Kansas; M.E., Centerton, Ark.; Miss Nora of Siloam Springs. All the children were present at her funeral except Lee who, on account of sickness was unable to come. Mr. and Mrs. Wright moved to Benton county in 1896 and settled on a farm near Vaughn. They also lived several years in Centerton before moving to Siloam Springs. Mrs. Wright was converted at an early age and united with the Methodist church of which she continued a member until the time of her death. She was a faithful wife, a devoted mother and an unselfish friend.
