PEA RIDGE — Jackie J. Wright, 66, of Pea Ridge died July 24, 2002, at his home. He was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Garfield to Earl Henry and Jewell Maude Byler Wright. He was a lifetime resident of the area and owned and operated Wright's DX from 1966-1982. He opened Wright's Laundry in 1973 and later Wright's Car Wash. He was also owner and operator of Wright's Wrecker Service. He built the Pea Ridge Post Office in 1995. He was an avid Razorback fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Wright of the home; three sons, Jackie Lee Wright of Springdale, Greg Wright and Brian Wright and wife Katie, all of Pea Ridge; two daughters, Lori Rogers and husband Ray of Rogers and Terri Lynn Higgins and husband Kurt of Pea Ridge; one sister, Ila Willis of Benton, Ill.; two brothers, Lemoine Wright of Garfield and Buddy Wright of Rogers; eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Garfield with the Rev. Benny
Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Ruddick Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
