FORMER CENTERTON RESIDENT IS VICTIM OF TETANUS

Lonnie Wright, 53-year-old farmer near Glade post office, this county died early Monday morning from tetanus, said to have been caused by burn received form a firecracker on July 4th, his death occurring, how ever just as he was thought to be recovering nicely from amputation of his foot which was partly from the leg by an accidental shotgun would some days after the Fourth. This accident occurred when he was climbing over a wire fence while hunting rabbits.

He had been removed from a Regional Hospital to the home of Mrs. Hattie Williams at Rogers. Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon with burial at Hanson cemetery.

Mr. Wright had lived at Centerton for years before buying a farm near the Andrew Nichols place on White River, which he had converted to a poultry ranch.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter and one stepdaughter. His close friend, Roy Fields of Bentonville, was called to his bedside Sunday night, at Mr. Wright’s request, and Mr. Fields then went to Glad with the family after the end. He returned home yesterday.

CCNote: Obituary indicates Hanson Cemetery.
