December 18, 1942 - November 7, 2015
Melton Steve Smith, 72, of Dyer passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, in a local nursing home.
He delivered furniture for Dean’s Furniture Store, and was a member of New Bethel Assembly of God in Dyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie McCoy Smith and Lillie Smith-Dukes.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. today at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma with burial at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include three sisters, Geneva Evans of Dyer, Nancy Sanders of Mulberry and Ellen Harderson of Oark; a brother, James L. Smith of Uniontown; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steven Smith Jr., Cameron Woodward, Steven Smith Sr., Tommy Stantlin, Michael Alan Stantlin and Tommy Leakey.
