Joe was the 13th child out of 17 born to Tony and Minnie Paladino of Catholic Point. He married Geneva Gilliam Paladino on January 5, 1946 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the same church where Joe's parents were married in 1900. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Steven A. and Cheryl Paladino of Center Ridge; Terry Paladino of Springfield; and Lori Ross of Conway. His sisters Etta Rowland of North Little Rock, Florence "Babe" Andreas of Houston, TX, and brother Lawrence Paladino of Marco Island, FL. His grandchildren include: Joe Bill Paladino; David Paladino, Daniel and Crystal Paladino, Chelsea Paladino, Jason Paladino and his wife April Elizabeth, April Dawn Paladino, Tony Paladino; Ashley Paladino, and Taylor Ross, Rachel Ross and Natalie Ross. Mr. Paladino felt deep sorrow on the loss of family members who preceded him in death including his wife Geneva of 62 years; his oldest son William J. "Bill" Paladino; his parents; his brothers Frank, Father Christopher, Paul, Johnny, Andrew and Henry Paladino; sisters Mary Rossi, Frances DeSalvo, Sr. Lucille Paladino and Amelia Whitten; his grandson Aaron Jacob Paladino; and many other much loved family members. Honorary Pall bearers will be his nephews: Charles Rowland, Don Paladino, Ken Andreas, Gary Andreas, Kevin Paladino and Tony James DeSalvo. He attended school at Catholic Point, Subiaco Academy and the University of Arkansas where he played football for the Razorbacks in 1945. Joe worked as a revenuer with Arkansas Beverage Control and retired from the Federal Government as an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms in 1977 after 21 years of distinguished service. After retirement he drove a school bus for 10 years at Nemo Vista as well as worked part time at Rossi Electric and served as pipeline inspector for the Conway County Regional Water District helping facilitate bringing city water to the Catholic Point community. He was very active in his church serving on the church council, picnic committee, Eucharistic Minister, bible study and many other efforts. He had a huge heart for those in need. He and Geneva started a food bank out of their garage and, working with the Arkansas Food Bank and several other friends, they fed the poor of their community for many years. Joe was known as being hard working, honest, dependable and faithful. He enjoyed making homemade muscadine wine and Italian sausage following in the footsteps of his family's deep rooted traditions. His family is deeply grateful for all who have cared for him during his battle with Alzheimer's in particular Missy Young, Dr. Peter Post and the caregivers at Morrilton Healthcare Center who cared for Joe and Geneva a combined 10 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 25 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Center Ridge. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic Point Road, Center Ridge, AR 72027 or St. Joseph School Endowment, Conway, AR.
