When Barbato Paladino was born on June 21, 1860, in Valle, Salerno, Italy, his father, Angelo, was 37 and his mother, Angela, was 39. He married Donata Cavalieri on November 27, 1886. They had seven children in 16 years. He died on March 17, 1939, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, at the age of 78, and was buried there.
