SPRINGDALE — Garry David Gabbard, 60, of Springdale, died Friday Oct. 23, 2015 at his home. He was born Feb. 27, 1955 in Springdale to Edward Junior and Willie Alice (George) Gabbard. Garry enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to Elvis Presley music, and watching John Wayne movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepdad, Edgar "Bill" Glenn, who raised him; and three siblings: Jean Jackson, Charles Gabbard, and Marlene Schrum.
He is survived by eight children: Justin Gabbard, William Gabbard, Shawnda Luna. Tallulah Gabbard, Alice Welch, David Gabbard, Cody Gabbard, Ashley Stewart; four brothers: James Jackson, Marty Gabbard, Sterling Glenn, Leroy "Smokey" Glenn; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday Oct. 28, at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com.
